Poll Organizers Kill During The trip

Namkham - One of the local authority poll organizers was killed and two of them were injured during the trip for charming for vote “YES” for the current government’s constitution.

They were shot to death after they have finished the poll rehearsal and charming in the village of Noung Khang, on the main way of from Namkham to Muse on May 4, 2008.

U Kyaw Myint, age 60, the province secretary of USDA, live in Namkham were shot to death by the time of 3 p.m. today and two of his followers were treated at hospital.

Local authorities are going around charming for supporting the government’s constitution. Most of the government’s services are believed to vote “YES” for the poll because they are afraid to be cut their salary and their position.
